Young Ed Posted June 25, 2008 Author Report Posted June 25, 2008 Dad and I were both quite excited to see this car. When I was little Dad owned it. Not one like it-this exact car. He sold it in the early 90s when his convert was in the shop being restored. Had 30K miles on it then. Its now up to 34K. This is the first time we've run into it at a car show in almost 20 years! Even though its low mileage the green is a repaint that Dad had done. The mom of family friends that he got it from had driven into the garage by feel a couple times and it needed paint. I remember one time driving this car on dads lap from the street into the garage. Its quite possibly the first car I ever really drove. Quote
Don Coatney Posted June 25, 2008 Report Posted June 25, 2008 Good to see several 46-48 Mopars in the mix. Quote
Young Ed Posted June 25, 2008 Author Report Posted June 25, 2008 A few more neat cars You could go write on this one. It had chalk on the fenders. They erased it at night and started over the next day A real "wagon". Check out the grill My favorite custom P15 grill Quote
Young Ed Posted June 25, 2008 Author Report Posted June 25, 2008 And one for the pilot house guys Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted June 25, 2008 Report Posted June 25, 2008 The P15s look so "bare" with no stainless trim....... Nice car otherwise, I'm sure. Thanks for the pics, Ed. Quote
PatS.... Posted June 25, 2008 Report Posted June 25, 2008 Quite possibly the ugliest car I've ever seen. Quote
Young Ed Posted June 25, 2008 Author Report Posted June 25, 2008 Ya I had to take a picture of that beast. There was also a 37 plymouth coupe that had the rear window stretched about 8 inches up. It had a big square window in the back. The side windows were taller and wierdly shapped too. Didn't catch a pic of that one this year. Quote
Don Coatney Posted June 25, 2008 Report Posted June 25, 2008 Quite possibly the ugliest car I've ever seen. Where is the radiator? Quote
Young Ed Posted June 25, 2008 Author Report Posted June 25, 2008 It was a short one the length of the wire grill. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted June 25, 2008 Report Posted June 25, 2008 Looks as if they were trying to make the rear of that 55 Chevy look like the 1961 Plymouth. Quote
Normspeed Posted June 25, 2008 Report Posted June 25, 2008 Great pictures Ed, and worth the wait even on dialup. That ugly car needs a good coat of paint, preferably the "cloak of invisibility" stuff. Quote
oldmopar Posted June 25, 2008 Report Posted June 25, 2008 The Falcon was a great flashback I owned a 61 as my 2nd car learned to drive stick with it, good memories as I recall it had a 144 engine Quote
Young Ed Posted June 25, 2008 Author Report Posted June 25, 2008 I believe the former one was a 170 and I know it was an automatic. Quote
55 Fargo Posted June 28, 2008 Report Posted June 28, 2008 Back to the 50s, Minneapolis/St. Paul was featured in the Winnipeg Free Press Auto section in Fridays edition. Looks like some Manitoba Cars were there too, hope to see you there next year Ed.............Fred Quote
Young Ed Posted June 28, 2008 Author Report Posted June 28, 2008 I believe next year its scheduled the same time as the POC national in Wisconsin. I will probably be in WI. Quote
