streamer Posted June 17, 2008 Report Posted June 17, 2008 I have been searching for a front sump oil pan for a 218 23" block engine. No luck so far, however I do have a line on a 25" block front sump oil pan. Does anyone know it I can cut 2" out of that pan, weld it back together and have it fit my 23". Anyone done that?? Quote
Young Ed Posted June 17, 2008 Report Posted June 17, 2008 I don't think that would work. The extra 2 inches is likely to be spaced out equally between all the bolt holes. Not all in one spot where it could be cut out. I've still got a 23" pan that I don't need but its got an engine stuck on top of it Quote

Bill pilot99 Posted June 22, 2008 Report Posted June 22, 2008 I'm sorry about saying I had a pan, I looked and found out it went to the scrap yard. Quote
