tankwilson Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 I know this is probably not the right spot to post this but i just bought a 49 plymouth four door parts car. Fairly complete. It is rough. Will be parting some of it out on ebay. Any of you guys need any little things? Thanks Quote
eric wissing Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 I could us a rim for a spare. I am in Sioux City. Eric Quote
Joe Flanagan Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 I need a hood emblem. I have a Special Deluxe, so I don't know if it had the same emblem as other Plymouths of that year. I also need a good heater box. I have a core, but the box it goes in is shot and I can't seem to find one that isn't all rusted out. Quote
Normspeed Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 Joe, a while back, Tony Cipponieri gave me some very nice heater parts from a 50 buzzcoupe. There are some I didn't use in my 53. I'll PM you. Quote
tankwilson Posted April 11, 2008 Author Report Posted April 11, 2008 I think it has a good hood emblem. I will get the car this weekend and get a better look. Don't have any extra wheels. Sorry. Thanks Quote
blueskies Posted April 11, 2008 Report Posted April 11, 2008 Does the parts car still have the coveted "vibration cloaking device"? Still need that part for my '50... Pete Quote
tankwilson Posted April 11, 2008 Author Report Posted April 11, 2008 Already sold that but it does still have its flux capacitor Quote

tankwilson Posted April 13, 2008 Author Report Posted April 13, 2008 Will probably keep most of the big items like wheels, bumpers, and sheetmetal. Will be selling emblems, trim, interior parts. I am planning on using it mainly as a parts car but i am going to try and get it running too. Thanks matt Quote
billwillard Posted April 14, 2008 Report Posted April 14, 2008 are the heater controls under the dash the same as a 50? My control arms are not there. Still need a parts book for 1950 p20. Bill Quote
teardrop puller Posted April 14, 2008 Report Posted April 14, 2008 tankwilson Is the 49 a P18? I need a grill. Mine was wrecked by the little old lady who owned the car a few years ago. Really. kai Quote
tankwilson Posted April 15, 2008 Author Report Posted April 15, 2008 Yes mine is a later 49 P18. The grill is perfect shape. No dings or dents. Havent removed it yet. Also have a good hood ornament $150.00 for grill $40.00 for hood ornamnet Plus shipping. If you are not satisfied with any of my parts i will refund the purchase price. Guys that have posted interest in these 2 items PM me and i will figure shipping costs. Let me know soon. Will be listed parts on ebay if no response. Thanks Quote
Don Jordan Posted April 17, 2008 Report Posted April 17, 2008 Just thought I'd add my 2 cents in - I'm looking for a working vacuum advance for a 47 P 15. I bought an entire distributor on e-bay for just the VA and the silly thing didn't work. Of course now I have an extra distributor. Quote
james curl Posted April 17, 2008 Report Posted April 17, 2008 Jim Terrell at Terrell Machine rebuilds vacuum advances and fuel pumps. I 've had him rebuild two vacuum advances for me. He is listed in the vendor section of the forum. Quote
Don Jordan Posted April 18, 2008 Report Posted April 18, 2008 I hate to appear stupid but I couldn't find the vendor section. I would like to get in touch with Jim Terrell. Quote
Brendan D25 Posted April 18, 2008 Report Posted April 18, 2008 Don, at the top of this page, click on -Return to P15-D24.com - on that page on the left click on -links- there scroll down to - Eng., mechanical parts - there is a phone number there for Terril Machine. Brendan. Quote
Don Jordan Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 Thank you for the information. How silly of me. As long as I've been coming on this site I've never browsed around. What a treasure. I guess I should get out more. Thanks again. Quote

teardrop puller Posted April 23, 2008 Report Posted April 23, 2008 tankwilson How can I get the cash to you for the grill and the thingies above the tail lights? Paypal is the best way for me, since I am in Mexico. Post office box in Texas for sending stuff to. kai Quote

Bodacious Posted April 27, 2008 Report Posted April 27, 2008 Has it got an oil filter ass'y? I'd really like to have an original, cannister type for my project. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted April 27, 2008 Report Posted April 27, 2008 I think it was fireball who said he might like a 49 Plym bumper for the front of his Dodge biz coupe. Of course the problem is, he's in Finland. Quote
