Where is james DEan when you need him- Probably hunting 5 foot lake pipes or stealing Drive in speakers to make a stero system in his mercury

Tim likes those cool rims- That is bacause he is not old enough to know REAl hot rod stuff when he sees it- To young needs a lot more birthdays.

I'm thinking that the rear wheels are wider than the fronts -- or are my

eyes playing tricks on me!

Hey Norm...last time I checked the "Ebay.... Post em or Not poll" the majority voted for posting ebay items here.

Does the majority rule hold up here er what?

Majority does rule. Go ahead and post-em! I even just posted an e-bay auction on a different thread. Of cource the auction I posted was no longer active.

I'm not sure posting a picture of this car and link to ad is a major problem, as most on this forum will not likely be bidding on the car. The quibble, as I gathered, is more about the everyday parts that some of us would possibly BE bidding on. I like to post pics of cars from time to time as I think some are interesting and others possibly ugly or stupid. Don't think I will post links to ads any more, but may use a picture of a part borrowed from ebay from time to time.

At first, I thought posting a picture of the part and link to the ad would be helpful to others......but everyone is trying to get the best deal they can.....so they prefer that the ad not receive any more additional exposure. And, I have quit giving sellers any corrective info about what their mis-listed part really goes to. If they don't know what they have and we do, so be it - any maybe the price will be cheaper.

I was lucky enough to find a set of stainless steel insert rings in a bone yard for a '47 deSoto. Never liked the plastic ones. However they sure are nostalgic.

I think most of 'em were steel, painted white. There may have been some plastic ones along the way. I have been looking for some white ones with the idea of painting them yellow to match the car. Have not purchased any yet, however. Don't know if the color match would be good or not....would just have to try it.
