Nice to be back home. The P24 did great, 1400 miles towing the teardrop. I got a few good photos. With the exception of the fuel guage, and the ammeter right near the end, here's how the guages read from the first mile to the last. Right near the end of the trip, about 50 miles from home, I accidentally let some of the smoke out of my voltage regulator. My mistake. :D Still got me home, with the lights flickering a bit, and quit charging completely about 2 miles from the house.

Norm, nice picture. That overdrive must sure help as there is no way I could cruise my '53 at that speed. Great oil pressure and temp is excellent. A full tank of gas and a nice looking highway. Doesn't get any better. Won't be driving my '53 for a while as winter has set in here and the roads are covered in mushy, sandy, damp crap that was once white snow.

Thanks guys.

I got lucky on the electrical problem, it turned out to only be worn out generator brushes. I had a couple other generators in the spares so I turned 2 into 1. One of the spares had "nearly new" brushes and also had a sealed type front bearing and a nice pulley, so those went into my generator which had a real good armature and field wiring. Charging like a champ now.

Check this shot, it's near where I camped in my teardrop.

Norm, you are making me feel bad showing me that last picture. All I've got here is snow, cold, and my cars put away for the winter. It sucks not to be able to drive the old girl. Just redid the starter motor as the starter drive was faulty. Replaced the automatic choke with a better working one and she fires up really nicely. Just need some snow free roads now. Got room for a visitor and his '53 Plymouth? (Picture taken in late spring).

Frost ain't too bad in morning, it is like our early spring and fall. It is when the snow is piled up over the teardrop and some dogsled, or snowmobilers gone mad drives right over top of you cuz your buried in snow, thats when you know your in the Prairie region of Canada.

Norm...this almost looks like a portion of old Route 66 leading into the switchbacks heading towards Oatman from Kingman. Was that an old highway or just a side road off of one?
