Just out of curiosity I've been watching the Edmunds head that was for sale on Ebay. The closing bid was $2,247.22. Can you believe that!

yeah, i saw that, too. there were several specialty parts going for big dollars.

btw, that head went for more than i paid for my '48 b-1-fa152.

It also went for more than I just paid for this puppy (49 Plym Suburban)

This one came with a good head and an entire car attached.

Buyer has ZERO feedback... that makes me wonder.

I sold an Edmunds head for $500 last year. It needed some heli-coils in the plug holes and sandblasting.

Did I leave $1700 on the table?

I thought $500 was fair for a 50 plus year old head that might have some hidden problem (ie. been decked beyond use, cracks etc.)

Should have put it on E-Pay? Maybe. I can sleep at night knowing they got what they wanted with out being taken. I got $500 for storing a Edmunds head that was given to me 10 years ago.

I sold some of the complete set speed equiment I had for the 23 inch block an most of the 25 inch block right here in the want ads section with what most thought were fair prices.

that's what i usually do with excess jeep parts from my cj (my other obsession/addiction), i sell them for low cost on the jeep-related forums i frequent. i have no problem doing that, knowing i'm helping a fellow enthusiast, vs just selling them on ebay. not that i don't buy stuff on ebay, i do.

This head is almost as bad as the 'ultra rare' air cleaner for a 41 Plymouth with a starting bid of $125.00.

Time to clean out some spare pieces, I guess.

I don't sell on Ebay I perfer to sell my stuff on various forums I frequent mainly the Motorcycle forums I frequent the most. I'll give them a fair deal rather than sell it on Ebay.
