Norm's Coupe Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 I'd say it's an old one, and the woman doesn't look too happy about it. The little girl seems to like it though. Quote
Ed Griffin Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 Hard to say looking for anything to ID it with even though you can see the hub end on the rear wheel. Notice how well it shines/ reflects shadows etc. Looks like it may have been new or well kept. Quote
greg g Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 I looked through all my hint sources. I believe it to be in the 26-29 vintage, but I could not find any with smooth fenders and a suicide hinnged front door. Thought maybe Buick, Oakland, or other upscale marque but didn't see anything close. the windshield split is a bit different than you see. So I'm guessing 27 Hudson or Essex. Wood spoke wheels, louvered hood, and suicide doors are atributes of that line and vintage. Quote
PatS.... Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 Don, On the AACA site, they have a forum called "What is it?" Very interesting forum and they ID some pretty obscure vehicles and parts. Might give that a try. http://www.aaca.org/ Quote
eric wissing Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 It might be a LaSalle. I have a picture of my grandfather next to a LaSalle. The running boards and the windshield look similar. 1926? maybe. Eric Quote
Olddaddy Posted December 11, 2007 Report Posted December 11, 2007 Its an Oldun, probably one of the first ones made, early on. Quote
Normspeed Posted December 11, 2007 Report Posted December 11, 2007 It's a lot like a Hudson sedan or a Wills Sainte Claire, late 20's but the windshield isn't right. Quote
bmt47p-15 Posted December 11, 2007 Report Posted December 11, 2007 I am guessing 22 Hudson. http://www.realclassicads.com/hudson/1922_hudson.jpg Quote
Normspeed Posted December 11, 2007 Report Posted December 11, 2007 I think so. Real angular lines. By the later 20s the cowl had more of a curve. Quote
