Harley PHD Posted March 5 Report Posted March 5 I always have trouble removing and installing the door handle. The holes never line up until I force the inner door molding in. I tried it this way, but it felt dangerous. I didn't mar or bend anything this time. 😅  Quote
Doug&Deb Posted March 5 Report Posted March 5 I always just push the panel in by hand and use needle nose pliers to insert the pin. It’s finicky but doable. 1 Quote
Ivan_B Posted March 5 Report Posted March 5 The door needs to be closed, you are inside 😉 Push the ring by hand and push the pin (in/out) with another tool, using your other hand 😅 Quote
DonaldSmith Posted March 5 Report Posted March 5 To ease installation of the pin holding on a door handle or window crank, I found a brass tube of the same diameter as the pin, and cut the tube to length. I got some nails that would fit in the tube  Then I installed the handle or crank with a long nail. This would give me some slop. then I slipped the tube over the nail and through the handle or crank.  Then I would remove the nail and insert a short length of nail.  I wish that I could find my photos from lo, so long ago..  .    Quote
