Vancraft
I am working on a ‘36 P2 for a customer and while doing a clutch replacement we thought it would be good to replace the rear mounts. I got everything back together and noticed the crosshaft for the clutch on an angle. Luckily we had not thrown away the old mounts so I took everything back apart and the new mounts are 3/8 taller than the old ones. It is my fault for not comparing them before install. We are going to install the originals but was wondering if anybody else has had this problem? Is there a source for correct mounts?
SteveR
I think Keith addressed this problem in one of his videos at Keith's garage
keithb7
I had the newer 1938, round rear motor mounts. I trimmed my mounts shorter To me that one appears to be a no go. Try Runner Steel Products maybe? Edited September 12 by keithb7
