drifter1956 Posted July 25, 2023 Report Posted July 25, 2023 (edited) Hi, I have looked in the search but could not find anything on this topic. I am from germany and own a 1950 Plymouth special deluxe. At this car I just overhaul the rear axle. I need new bolts for the connection of rear axle to brake.see picture. Can someone give me a tip where I can get these? Thank you very much. BR Joe Edited July 25, 2023 by drifter1956 Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted July 25, 2023 Report Posted July 25, 2023 e-bay search: Mopar rear axle brake backing plate bolt, e-bay will show you what is available...these have not changed much over the years. Look to the European Salisbury rear axle, they are the Dana of Europe. To be truthful, shaving/cutting a flat on a standard bolt will work just as well. 1 Quote

Plymouthy Adams Posted July 25, 2023 Report Posted July 25, 2023 many times modern replacement fits only in the external physical dimension and has little to do with original strength per application....seen this in many parts supplied today by currently offshore manufacturers. This will continue to be the case as standards decline or fall to the wayside altogether. Glad you caught the weakness. Quote
