YukonJack Posted May 7, 2023 Report Posted May 7, 2023 Going to be in the market soon for a new fuel tank for my 47 Plymouth. I've read several things about the Tanks Inc tank. Aside from it not looking stock are there any other issues with this tank? Does anyone make a larger capacity tank? Thanks in advance. Quote
Sam Buchanan Posted May 7, 2023 Report Posted May 7, 2023 (edited) Here is the tank in my '48 Plymouth: https://vansauto.com/product/41-48-dodge-plymouth-desoto-chrysler-6-cylinder-gas-tank/ It is about as exact a fit as the original as you can most likely find. It doesn't have the built-in sump filter which is a good thing. Edited May 7, 2023 by Sam Buchanan 1 Quote
JohnTeee Posted May 9, 2023 Report Posted May 9, 2023 Sam beat me to it! I was going to post a link to: https://www.ebay.com/itm/403692350614 Bought one for my '47 P15 and it was a perfect drop-in. John Quote
YukonJack Posted May 10, 2023 Author Report Posted May 10, 2023 I wasn't really looking for other tank options, but thanks. I am more concerned with knowing if people are happy with the Tanks Inc replacement. Were there any installation problems or problems in general or was it a smooth install and you are satisfied?
