Rebuilt the Carter B&B carb on my 47 today. Everything went smooth until I screwed the top back on and turned it over and the throttle plate was stuck open. When I disconnect the link from the throttle shaft to the accelerator pump it closes normally. When I hook the link back up I have to hold the throttle shaft closed or it sticks open again. I've taken it apart a couple of times but can't figure out why it is hanging up. Any ideas?

so it seems to me that there is an issue inthe linkage and it might not be correct. If the throttle plate closes completely when not connected then the issue is inthe linkage.
