So I removed the steering box to have it rebuilt and now can't remember how to reassemble the horn. I have a couple shop manuals but nothing to show w the parts fit together. Can someone provide a picture.

The spring is in contact with ground, through the steering shaft and column.
The brass thingie pushes down on the spring, grounding the horn wire that is soldered to the thingie.

Without the horn ring, the horn would always be on.

The horn ring assembly has tangs that push the spring away from the thingie,

interrupting the grounding, so that the horn won't sound.

Pushing the horn ring rocks the horn ring assembly. so that part of the spring is not pushed away,

but contacts the thingie, grounding the circuit and sounding the horn.
