Cowl light clips

Does anyone know how to put the little spring clips into the cowl light bezel that holds the lens in its a PIA to get these in please any tips or tricks working on a W model 1946 vintage bought a complete set from DCM nice set by the way compliments to DCM

Are those listed for W series? They don't look right to me. The ones I have use 2 hooks to attach to the reflector/lense and then the screw at the back pulls it all tight to the bucket

Yes , those are the right clips to hold the lens in place . I don't have a picture but they do work fine . They only hold the lens in the bezel and the bracket that Ed mentioned holds the bezel assembly to the body of the light .

Interesting I've taken quite a few of these buckets apart and never seen one with a clip. Maybe they were all dust before I got to them? I took apart one I have on the shelf that is a very nice original and no clips like that.

I have installed a bunch of them and each time I wonder how they can possibly fit . Turn the bezel upside down with the lens in place .That small loop in the centre of the spring clip goes under the lip in the bezel ( the side that is now facing you ) . The two long ends of the spring clip rest against the lens .
