Convert 12V alternator to 6 volt

Found this video of a guy showing how to convert a Chevy 1 wire alternator to 6V positive ground. I converted mine over to 12V, but thought some might like this option in place of the generator.

Thank You for posting this. I was watching the most recent Roadworthy Rescues episode last night and this gentleman was helping Derek get a badly neglected Model T running. In the episode one of the things that he did was to install one of these and it got me to thinking.

I haven't pulled the trigger on the Gener-Nator upgrade but this video has me wondering even more just what all work garners such a high price ?

I fitted a 6v pos ground alternator from Quality Power when I built my truck. It has worked great this whole time. Pretty much a fit and forget item. Makes running a 6 volt system totally painless.

Haha, I started browsing this guy's videos after watching that episode.
