Doug&Deb Posted May 1, 2022 Report Posted May 1, 2022 A previous owner had run a rubber fuel line from the tank to the fuel pump. I’ve replaced it with nickel copper line and added an electric pump. My problem is where to terminate the metal line. My D24 had a block on the right front of the frame where the metal line ended and the flex line went to the pump. I can’t see any evidence of that on my car. Anyone with a 51 or 52 Dodge if you could let me know what I’m missing. Better yet would be a picture. Thanks in advance. Quote
soth122003 Posted May 1, 2022 Report Posted May 1, 2022 Not sure where you would put the flex line, but any where after running the metal tube to the right side of the frame just before the fuel pump should work. The flex line is there take up the engine vibrations and not wear the line with chafing and stress. On my P-15 it changes at the right forward frame just about 10 inches from the fuel pump. Doug&Deb Posted May 1, 2022 Author Report Posted May 1, 2022 That’s what I’ve done for now. 8 inches of rubber line double clamped to the end of the metal line. Works for now but not the best solution. They sell the flex line for my car so there should be a connection point for it. Quote
DJK Posted May 2, 2022 Report Posted May 2, 2022 I eliminated my mechanical pump, ran the fuel line to a rubber hose/metal filter/rubber hose/carb. Quote
