I am new to this forum. I have been a Mopar guy nearly my whole life. I recently picked up this project last fall.

I am pretty good a researching things but I also like to be sure. I am hoping someone can help me verify what I have?

What I think I know:  1947 wc, 218 flathead, 3 speed, has 11 bolt rear end.

What I'd like to know:  What do the numbers on the rear end mean? What trans is that? Number on head means....?

Same. Not sure those help much with identifying parts needed unless you start going into major rebuilds. T112 should be the original 218 engine for that. Neither of my trucks has it's original engine.

Thanks for the reply. I am probably going machine and rebuild depending on what I find inside. As far as I know this is the original motor and drivetrain. The wheels are a totally different story. It has 3 wheels that are 15" and one that is 16" all on the truck at the same time.

(Makes total sense) I have one spare 16" and 2 more 15" wheels on hand. Do you know if the 16" wheels were the stock size on the WC's in the 40's?

Here is the wheel pages from the W Series parts manual;

Looks like the WC came with 16, 18 and 20 inch wheels.

16s would be stock the 18s(never heard of those) and the 20s would be optional. Very common for people to have put later year or car wheels on them. I have one with 16s and one with late 60s 15s. Gotta have some variety right?

Variety for sure!  I'm not sure what I want to do. Thought about using all 15" since I have them and It would be easiest. I could put the 16's on the back but I don't see any real benefit. Besides, I kind of like the Smoothie hubcap thing I got going on in the front. Maybe a little polish...
