Bryan Posted February 10, 2022 Report Posted February 10, 2022 How to blow $25 up a wild hog's a..s. Brother gives you an off brand gift card for Christmas. You order different things and charge to card. One order is to Rock Auto. You finally use up and empty gift card, and throw it away. Then you find a part is wrong and get a Rock Auto refund...on the gift card you tossed. ? ? ? Quote
Young Ed Posted February 10, 2022 Report Posted February 10, 2022 Contact rock auto and see if they can reverse that credit and shift it to a card you actually have. This is why I typically turn a visa type gift card into Amazon credit. Quote

I was using the card with Amazon but they won't let you split payments between cards. This one was like a normal visa, not a code #. I could remember the expiration, the CVV first 4 and last 4 of the card but not the whole #. Call the card place...nope. Quote
vintage6t Posted February 10, 2022 Report Posted February 10, 2022 Ask your brother if he has the purchase receipt or if he bought it with his CC, maybe there is card info on the receipt or CC his statement. Also if you had to activate the card by opening an activation account you may be able to put the balance on a new card. Quote
Bryan Posted February 10, 2022 Author Report Posted February 10, 2022 Just thought of something. Will see if it works. I had to enter the card into Amazon before and it keeps a list of cards you can use. Even though it only shows the last 4 numbers. It should have the credit from Rock Auto in it. I'll be back in an hour. Getting old sucks.. Quote
