Busted_Knuckles Posted November 28, 2020 Report Posted November 28, 2020 Whats a fair price for a heater box assembly these days Quote
Dodgeb4ya Posted December 1, 2020 Report Posted December 1, 2020 Could depend on model #, rarity, condition, how much someone needs it or wants for it. What people sell them for on ebay, covid pricing etc. Quote
MarcDeSoto Posted December 3, 2020 Report Posted December 3, 2020 Before you buy, make sure the fan motor still works on all speeds. Quote
Dartgame Posted December 3, 2020 Report Posted December 3, 2020 I bought mine on ebay for the opening bid + shipping. I don't think the seller was too happy. He used a women's hygiene product box to pack the heater (a subtle message i believe), which ended up in pretty bad shape by the time it got to me, but the heater itself was fine... Quote
DJ194950 Posted December 4, 2020 Report Posted December 4, 2020 (edited) That is why I only put a price on any E Bay sales at my minimum acceptable price to start. I seldom sale anything but when I need the $$. Seldom get more than asking/start price but still OK and I price mine below the crazy prices some ask, and buyer pays shipping per their location only. No handling type charges. Last time I did this three items all sold so no issues on my part and buyers seemed to be happy with the parts and prices as was myself. Most monies earned go to work on my 50 Ply. 4 dr. DJ Edited December 4, 2020 by DJ194950 Add some details to clarify. Quote
MarcDeSoto Posted December 4, 2020 Report Posted December 4, 2020 I've found that the 41-48 Comfort Master heaters are easier to find that the 49-52 style heaters that are a bit complex. They have the heater box and fan motor out in the engine compartment with a cardboard type duct leading into the dash where the hot air is directed to the desired area with ducting. Quote
