grey beard Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 I'm lookiing for a source for a cable-controlled heater water valve - can be generic. Do any of you gents have a source for these? Thanks:) Quote
TodFitch Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 Check you local "good" auto supply. Ask to look in the paper catalog for truck heater parts and equipment. I think you will find what you are looking for and your store can probably get what ever you select the same or next day. Got to keep the local stores in business. . . Quote
David Mac Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 Grey Beard: Vintage Air makes a nice valve that installs inline on the heater hose. http://www.vintageair.com/cat2007/33.pdf The link is to page 33 of their catalog but it requires Adobe Reader to view. It is part No. 46105-VUH Hope this helps, David Mac Quote

Merle Coggins Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 check out this web page ... scroll to bottomhttp://www.indfloorcoating-repair.com/1948plymouthenginerestoration.html That's Norm's (AKA Norm's Coupe) site. He's a regular over on the car side. I got one from Mitchell Motors, through ebay, a while back. It threads into the head and would/could be cable operated. I looked through my files and I don't have a picture of it. However, I think Todd has the best idea. There's gotta be some local supplier that'll have something. Merle Quote
