55 Fargo Posted September 2, 2007 Report Posted September 2, 2007 Hi all, installed the clutch pan, this was all that was left from my Freeze plug, clutch flywheel, starter repair. The car drove nice, shift into all gears correctly and easily, nothing jumped out of gear, no noises. A nice smooth ride, no clutch chatter. Touch wood, it seems to be a good fix. I did discover a slight gas leak at the line from the fuel pump to carb, will replace with a new steel line...........Fred Quote
RobertKB Posted September 2, 2007 Report Posted September 2, 2007 Good news, Fred. Great to hear that your patience and perseverance paid off. It really makes driving the old girls that much more fun after you have had problems, solved them, and reassembled everything. Congrats and continue enjoying the Chrysler. Quote
greg g Posted September 2, 2007 Report Posted September 2, 2007 Huuzahhh another MOPAR rolls under it own power. Good job. Glad it finally went back together. Quote
Normspeed Posted September 2, 2007 Report Posted September 2, 2007 Always a good feeling to tackle a real challenging repair and have it come out great. Last time I R&R'd my tranny I think I recall grumbling about taking up an easier hobby, like stamp collecting. Good work Fred. Quote
PatS.... Posted September 2, 2007 Report Posted September 2, 2007 As Greg said, glad another Mopar is burning dead dinosaurs again. I'll bet your happy it's back together and now you can sit back and enjoy a brew for a job well done. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted September 2, 2007 Report Posted September 2, 2007 Congratulations, Fred. Happy to hear the car is doing well. Makes all that bother of taking things apart seem worthwhile. :) Quote
