blohmiller Posted August 30, 2007 Report Posted August 30, 2007 For people who have upgraded ther MC and pedals whe year and make did you get you brake pedale from? Since I'm going to put a V8 in my '48 I need to locate swing pedals to replace my floor set any ideas? Bryan Quote
oldmopar Posted August 31, 2007 Report Posted August 31, 2007 What engine are you installing, what are you using for engine mounts. I have a 318 that is either going in a P15 or a B1D maybe both if the money stretches far enough . I am still in the planning stage so have not looked at a brake set up on the truck I know I can get a dual master and discs for the P15. Ed Quote
blohmiller Posted August 31, 2007 Author Report Posted August 31, 2007 I have access to an '83 Dodge Diplomat cop car with a 318. I'm going to get the whole front K member, Engine,Trans. and Rear end. The motor mounts are attached to the K member so every thing should fit. I just need to remeasure the rear end some more but a quick measurement showed it to be real close to fitting. I'm just lost on the break pedal setup Bryan Quote
anthonyb Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 Bryan, I put a poly 318 in my 52 B3FA and hung a set of brake/clutch pedals from an 87 Jeep Comanche P/U. I used the original M/C from the truck but had to fab a mount on the firewall. The pics should give a fair idea what it looks like. Quote
52B3B108 Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 I like how you mounted your extra gauges where the speakers used to be. Quote
Tony_Urwin Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 The extra knob on the shifter...Is that for a 2-speed rear axle? Quote
anthonyb Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 Actually, the gauges on the left are mounted where the original gauges were installed and the two on the right were set into what was a blank panel. The clock on the upper right is where the speaker was. Yes, the red handle on the shifter is for the two-speed rear axle. Quote
Tony Cipponeri Posted September 2, 2007 Report Posted September 2, 2007 Hi Blohmiller, I don't know the brand name of my brake pedal, master cylinder set up, but I got it out of the Summit catalog. The master cylinder is a dual with a booster, and mounts under the floor board where the stock one was. I can find the brand name for you if you can't find it in the Summit catalog. Tony C Quote
pflaming Posted September 3, 2007 Report Posted September 3, 2007 Nice dash, where did you get the clock? Does a radio go into the rectangular space to the left of the steering wheel post? I also like the color, what exactly is it, gray or blue or ______? Quote
anthonyb Posted September 4, 2007 Report Posted September 4, 2007 The clock is a fabrication from the lid of a TurtleWax can and a battery operated mechanism from Hobby Lobby. The hole on the left side of the dash was there when I got the truck. Just haven't gotten around to deciding what type sound system to fill it with. The dash color is Rustoleum hammer finish bronze. Looks very gray to me! I just got lazy and didn't prep the dash like I should have. Quote
Mario Loya B1B Posted September 4, 2007 Report Posted September 4, 2007 The clock is a fabrication from the lid of a TurtleWax can and a battery operated mechanism from Hobby Lobby. GENIUS!!!! Quote
