Chris Wiehe Posted July 29, 2018 Report Posted July 29, 2018 This is mounted on firewall. Want to dig deeper can't see "dodge plate" guy said it was a heavy duty 1/2 ton. Plate says 3/4 ton. Any idea what other letters stand for. Can't find info on different trim models either. Quote
NiftyFifty Posted July 29, 2018 Report Posted July 29, 2018 That's hand stamped, so somewhere down the line was the original lost, or just reproduced for some reason? It's not factory IMO, they wouldn't stamp crooked 1 Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted July 29, 2018 Report Posted July 29, 2018 I also believe this tag looks home made or stamped-over light faded or worn original....CL I could be Class and the G is the class category usually however a numerical rating is prominent Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted July 29, 2018 Report Posted July 29, 2018 did you ask your DMV.....as stated, they set the requirement....read what I wrote, Cl COULD be class.....this is based on other tags, but as stated most have a numerical rating not an alpha Quote

Chris Wiehe Posted July 29, 2018 Author Report Posted July 29, 2018 The DMV registration paperwork uses the number stamped on the engine. Found that number last night. The stamped plate is missing a 3. Guess it's one of those never get rid of the engine lol Quote
NiftyFifty Posted July 30, 2018 Report Posted July 30, 2018 Ya, that’s not the right serial number...hopefully you never get checked, but up here we have to do the odd crafty thing to keep rolling too Quote
