David Maxwell Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 ...pic out for accuracy? This is a shot from the Ang Lee movie, Lust Caution (which just got tagged with an NC-17 rating). It shows the `42 Plym for which all sound effects were substituted with my car's sounds. The front end doesn't look right to me and the interior is defintitely off (black leather seats and white window moldings). Not that 99.99% of the movie going public will notice or care LOL! Here's a link to the pic: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v455/bojeta/Graphics%20Projects/Man-jumping-in-42-Plym.jpg Quote
Young Ed Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 The grill looks funky. Where are the parking lights at the top? Quote
Don Coatney Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 I think it is the head light rings that are wrong. Follow this link. http://www430.pair.com/p15d24/mopar_forum/member.php?u=109 Quote
62rebelP23 Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 has the bumper been flipped upside down? looks odd. i know that when production companies have to use old cars they often try to disguise them in some way to avoid the parent company demanding royalties. another peeve of mine is the use of inappropriate cars in films; "the Shadow" for one, where the cabbie drives a CORD taxicab (WTF?) throughout NYC. i don't know about you, but i wouldn't risk a Cord in NYC traffic... as for MoPars, look out for a new comedy about a kid with a pet zombie (!!) in which there are several scenes with a modified 50-51 plymouth sedan. JerseyHarold Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 '51 Plymouth in a zombie movie??? What's the title? Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 Here's a 42 Plymouth...... That picture, at least on my screen, is so dark I can't really tell anything. I don't think the bumper in David's picture is on upside down......those flaps seen hanging down at the ends of the bumper are actually part of the body......ends for that pan below the bumper. The headlight rings are pretty much plain old round items. Quote
