oil filter cartridge cross over

  Need to change the oil filter cartridge on my 230 engine. Top of canister reads:

Deluxe Prod. Corp. La Port, Ind. Cartridge JC Gasket G101. Is there a FRAM, WIX,

or any other modern interchange? Thanks in advance for any help.

Is this the self contained sealed unit?  If so, they unfortunately are discontinued, remaining stock are few and far between and pricey when located.  It can be fairly easily replaced with the can and element kind.  These are usually easy to find at swaps and ebay and don't require a lot mechanical ability to swap.  One of this forums participants mentioned last week he was cleaning out engine stuff.  Maybe he has one that will fit your needs. Look at the classifieds within this site also.

Deluxe JC crosses to a Wix 51011, Napa 1011, or Baldwin JC405. I highly recommend the Baldwin as in my experience they are a much better fit into the can.
