tanda62 Posted July 1, 2017 Report Posted July 1, 2017 Took the fuel line off my truck and found a pin hole in it after cleaning it up. As an alternative to purchasing steel line, a pipe bender and a flare tool, I was thinking of using flexible hose. Has anyone used PTFE Teflon fuel line with -an fittings? Something like this from amazon - Autobahn88 Stainless Steel Braided PTFE Teflon Fuel Oil Gasoline Brake Line Hose, 10feet, -6AN, Silver. Quote
Young Ed Posted July 6, 2017 Report Posted July 6, 2017 Buy a premade length of the PVC coated line. You can bend it pretty easily by hand and it will come preflared. Worst case you might need 2 with a union. Quote
kendall Posted July 6, 2017 Report Posted July 6, 2017 I just finished upgrading my 47 with an entire fuel system. I used Nicopp from a fuel pressure regulator mounted on the front of my battery box to a fuel block on my firewall. It took only 4 linear feet of Nicopp line, hand bent and 2 factory flares to complete. It will require more length to get to a stock fuel pump. My original line went forward of the engine, crossed the radiator, and back to the pump. Quote
tanda62 Posted July 8, 2017 Author Report Posted July 8, 2017 Thanks for the tip about Nicopp line as it looks to be a great option. Quote
