Poly 318 aftermarket temperature gauge help

I've looked everywhere...and search where is the best and easiest place to mount the temp gauge there's no where on the the intake...

No there's a 1/4 spot where the electrical one was mine is like 3/8 with sensor

Remove the electric sensor, drill and tap the hole to accept the larger sensor, the question before drilling is, is the pocket it will go into deep enough to accept the new sensor?  If not then go back to an electric aftermarket piece.

Is the housing 1 1 / 2 for a poly 318

You might be able to use the guts from a 54ish gauge and swap the face over so it still matches your other gauges. Then you could retain the elec sender.

Anyone have the measurements for the opening

I'm using one in the upper radiator hose kinda like this:

I was looking at one of these but don't know the size of the opening on the intake these are 1 1/2

As long as it is the right bolt pattern I think you'd be OK.
