Was there ever an all-black Pilothouse?

I recently saw a '53 Pilothouse 1/2 ton that is painted all-black except for the correct yellow wheels. I have not seen all black before, was that an offering in 1953? Crossposted to Pilothouse group. Thanks!

This is a good question.   Presumably there was, but I cannot ever recall seeing one and my observations cover more years than I care to admit.

I dont see why not.

I am sure I read on this forum somewhere, you could special order the body colours from the factory. Using the few choices that were offered at the time.

I see no reason why you could not order all black.

This is out of a B3 series Salesman's book.

.I'm too lazy to look for the B4 series salesman's booklet but I'm sure black is listed as the same.
