Vent window or no vent.

So when I bought my truck, the passenger door has an operating vent window and the drivers side has no vent at all, just regular glass. So my b2b was built in 1950. Was either stock?  Can you put a vent  into  a door that had no vent?  Thanks

Standard cab doors had single side windows. Deluxe and Custom cabs had vent windows. I converted a single window door into a vent window door, but I had all of the internal parts from my old door. You will need the vent window assembly, the divider bar for the roll up window, and the front track for the roll up window. The window regulator is the same for both types. You will then need to fabricate some brackets and weld them into the door for the mounting points.

Here's a picture of the factory tabs/mounts that you will have to recreate. As I recall there's one or two more up the front pillar.

Merle, So what other features do the Delux cab have?  I have the seat cushion adjuster, Radio, and heat.  If this is all extra, I am starting to feel spoiled.

Deluxe cab has vent windows in doors, corner glass, air-o-ride seat, ...

Custom cab added passenger side visor, electric wipers, ...

I don't recall all of the added features as you climbed the scale. You'd have to read Don Bunn's book and find out...

I have a delux cab and don' have the air-ride...just sayin...

Sadly I don' think Mr. Bunn (rest his soul) was always 100% correct.
