casper50 Posted January 16, 2017 Author Report Posted January 16, 2017 I hope lots of these unmarked wires are not needed. Less to deal with. I have one heater, clock, back up light and radio. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted January 16, 2017 Report Posted January 16, 2017 I have a new in box harnesses that came with that car come to think of it....I do not even recollect opening the box to look at it....I am thinking it may be RI wiring....(I do recall major wring company as the supplier). I would need the 12 foot step ladder to retrieve from the very top shelf of my shop in order to inspect it. Quote
casper50 Posted January 16, 2017 Author Report Posted January 16, 2017 PA I'd let you borrow my ladder but I doubt that it's long enough. lol Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted January 16, 2017 Report Posted January 16, 2017 I have a twin set of 12 foot step ladders....the type that is for walk board use..they are hanging on hooks in the barn..it is the PITA factor that comes into play here getting one out and setting it up... Quote
casper50 Posted January 16, 2017 Author Report Posted January 16, 2017 I know PA I was just kidding. Don't do anything that isn't needed. I'll wait and see what Rhode Island Wire says about a copy of their diagram. Thanks Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted January 16, 2017 Report Posted January 16, 2017 If they fail to respond, let me know......I have no clue what is in the box...I do know that a aftermarket wiring kit I have here that also came with a car I bought has instructions for using their harness with Mopar, Ford and that other company components... I have a new Ron Francis wiring harness for my P-15 coupe that I bought around 5 or 6 years ago,and the box has never even been opened. I am really trying to quit buying things for cars I'm not working on yet. I keep discovering boxes of parts I forgot buying, and a few times have discovered I have bought the same item more than once and forgot I bought it. Because of this I now have files on my computer with names like "48 Plymouth parts" where I log in everything I buy for any specific car,who I bought it from, how much I paid, when it was ordered, and when I received it. I have even started adding up all the purchase prices as I add the items, but am beginning to think that wasn't such a good idea. Might be ok to do once you get the car done and are enjoying driving it,but can get pretty depressing to look at that number while you are still gathering parts. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted January 16, 2017 Report Posted January 16, 2017 these things I mentioned come with the cars as the POs bought them before selling/starting the project..spoil of the deal so to speak Quote
casper50 Posted January 16, 2017 Author Report Posted January 16, 2017 Thanks to Ralph's diagrams I managed to identify some more wires this morning. Didn't have much time to work on it. I also found the dash harness box. It wasn't retailed by or marked MOPAR. It was sold by Montgomery Wards/Riverside. My headlight harnesses were MOPAR marked. Quote
