Follow line back along frame rail. I expect it is located up high on the frame hump near the rear axle.

they can be most anywhere..my 52 was just inches from the master as was the 51....regardless just hand over hand the line till you see it.....then short across the terminals..one is hot with key on.....the other is the pressure contact...shorting across will prove the wiring and bulbs...

page 104 in the manual should cover your switch...including the location....do not look to the brake section for this info...it is located in the LIGHTING section of the manual....number of things within the book seems out of place when doing common troubleshooting...got to think purpose, not system...

Shel has it right,  the 49 to 52 brake light switch is mounted just ahead of the left rear axle.  It has a 1/8 pipe thread and two bullet type connections.  I have used  Standard Auto part SLS 24  but you may want to check the electrical connections on SLS 23 and 25,

You will not spill any brake fluid unless someone steps on the pedal so it is not necessary to bleed the brakes after installation.

But as a precaution I would just block the brake pedal with a piece of wood so it it wedged behind the back of the pedal against the floor board, just to prevent the pedal from being pushed down.  Better safe than having to re-bleed the line.
