Fiddy B2C Posted September 29, 2016 Report Posted September 29, 2016 Good evening folks, i have a 1950 B2C. Where the fender butts up to the cab, just back of the hood, there is about a 1/2 inch gap between the fender and the cab. Is there fender molding that goes there? I cannot believe Dodge would design these trucks with that big of a gap. Any enlightenment would be greatly appreciated. Pictures would be great as well. Quote

NiftyFifty Posted September 29, 2016 Report Posted September 29, 2016 Roberts motor parts has that piece too, and it was of decent quality...and cheaper then Steele I believe...they just cut a hunk off for both sides, but now that I think about it, it was short about 2"s, because it should run under e hood too I think..at least I did on one side, further then the other to make it look better on the normally open at shows side Quote

I got mine from Roberts and was very happy with it. Quote
Fiddy B2C Posted September 29, 2016 Author Report Posted September 29, 2016 Ah, my faith in the Dodge Brother's design team is restored! So how does this go in? Is it bolted in, or do you just mash it in and the rubber holds itself in place? Quote
NiftyFifty Posted September 30, 2016 Report Posted September 30, 2016 The original is held in with a rivet or pin style hardware, but every single one of mine broke on removal, and it needs to be done properly with the fender off. I'm away right now, but I believ I used paper rivets....been awhile, but I also used weatherstrip glue where the rubber meets the cab to secure it....some guys just glue the whole thing in Quote
ggdad1951 Posted September 30, 2016 Report Posted September 30, 2016 proper mount is split rivets, but without the right tool almost impossible to do, So a careful install with pop rivets works well. Quote
