Hey everyone,

I am missing a small piece and I was wondering who might know where I should go?

See the attached picture below. It is to go in the back to hold on to since it has no seat belts. I am not even sure what to call it. Anyways, I want the small piece that is missing on one side, but is on the passenger side. I want it to be bake light also to match everything else.

Any help would be amazing.

Thanks

You should post a want ad in the classified section for a "assist strap".

For responders to this thread, suggestions for potential vendors are okay. Offers for sale of item(s) will be immediately deleted.

WOW! From what I can see of your upholstery and garnish,it's beautiful!

That hand hold strap had nothing to do with the lack of seat belts, it was simply a way for rear seat passengers to hold onto something......lol.........my Oz 1940 Dodge has the exact same pieces and when we redid the upholstery I just used a slightly smaller than the area it fits into round piece of cardboard that a piece of the seat vinyl was glue onto and the round piece fitted into the hole and held with another small dab of contact glue........one thing I noticed with your piece is that the screw that you have holding the actual coat hook onto the body is a countersunk button or raised head screw....the ones on my car which are original to it, at least when I bought the car in 1971 are a countersunk but, FLAT head screw, I think these are 1/4 UNC thread...........anyway the flathead screw allows the upholstered "button" to sit flatter in relation to the surrounding area.........lol...........hope this makes sense & helps.........BTW, if yours are Bakelite how are they held in place?.......Andy Douglas
