Hi Greg, major devastation in Northern Alberta, it's over 1000 miles from where i sit.

Its been dry and unseasonably warm there too. Even here it will be 88 today, but it's a lot more humid in this area.

We could end up with smoky skies here if wind conditions make that possible.

Hope all you folks in the Fort Mcmurray area are safe and sound....

Its 92 here right now windy dry and dusty..., gotta be a record breaker for us this time of the year..

I live in southern Alberta so am unaffected by the fires in Fort McMurray. What a mess though and there are over 90,000 people evacuated which is about the population of where I live in Lethbridge. Very dry here as well and I imagine we will have grass fires here as we are below the forested areas. Very unusual year weather wise but could be the new norm.
