pflaming
I found this picture. Does anyone have direct access to its source? Also nice plymouth converted to a pickup.
Don Coatney
Here is the most recent source. http://p15-d24.com/topic/39952-three-speed-tyranny-floor-shifter/# If you want the source of where you harvested the photo right click it and look at "properties" The pickup is not a conversion but a UTE

gradford
Don, Would you please re-post that link for the shifter picture? The link shown isn't working for me. Thanks Glenn
Don Coatney
I did not post the original photo. I have no idea where it came from.
Plymouthy Adams
I guess it is tyranny when you are not able to get it to do what you want...
pflaming
I do not recall where I found that picture. I did make a crude mockup of it. To shift 2 & 3 is not difficult but to move the shifter for 1 & R requires either a spring loaded shift handle designed so you cannot accidently go into reverse, or a lifter run up on the lever. It is tricky but certainly doable. I have a sharp machinist friend who will make the parts on a CNC mill when I'm ready. And I have since learned how to correctly spell transmission! austinsailor
Are you trying to make one? Watch swap meets, etc. there were gobs of them back in the day. JC Whitney and many other places sold them. I had one, it fit the overdrive version. Sold it to another forum member.
