flying into Indianapolis for the nascar race with my 24yr old son. Other than the race/trackside musuem and drinking does anyone have any visitor recommendations.

 

BTW we both like old cars of the Mopar variety

Consider "Conners Corner" living museum NE of down town. It is an 80 acre farm and " community of student residents" who farm, cook, converse in pre 1900 historical context. All the farming is done w/o any modern equipment, the entire community operates w/ o electricity etc. a great historical experience for young and old.

Last time I was in Indy visiting a forum member here..we went to a very large cruise in and there were many mopar in attendance and a few dare to be different...some of the brand x cars are there but their ugly style usually makes it easy to avoid by being able to spot them at long distance..

Tim no, the people in the living museum are college students many of which are majoring in drama, music, history and are employed by tne museum.
