bach4660 Posted July 18, 2015 Report Posted July 18, 2015 flying into Indianapolis for the nascar race with my 24yr old son. Other than the race/trackside musuem and drinking does anyone have any visitor recommendations. BTW we both like old cars of the Mopar variety Quote
pflaming Posted July 18, 2015 Report Posted July 18, 2015 Consider "Conners Corner" living museum NE of down town. It is an 80 acre farm and " community of student residents" who farm, cook, converse in pre 1900 historical context. All the farming is done w/o any modern equipment, the entire community operates w/ o electricity etc. a great historical experience for young and old. Quote
Plymouthy Adams Posted July 18, 2015 Report Posted July 18, 2015 community of student residents is this new age way of saying commune without the added cult overtones... Last time I was in Indy visiting a forum member here..we went to a very large cruise in and there were many mopar in attendance and a few dare to be different...some of the brand x cars are there but their ugly style usually makes it easy to avoid by being able to spot them at long distance.. pflaming Posted July 18, 2015 Report Posted July 18, 2015 Tim no, the people in the living museum are college students many of which are majoring in drama, music, history and are employed by tne museum. Quote
