White Spyder Posted May 15, 2015 Report Posted May 15, 2015 I think to remove / chamge the bulb on these that the bezle around the glass unscrews and then the bulb is changed. I can nor get the bezle to move. Any ideas? my plyers will not adjust wide enough to make it over the bezle. Quote
desoto1939 Posted May 16, 2015 Report Posted May 16, 2015 on what car or truck is this attached to. This is important to know. I can not tell where it is located or what type of light it is? More info please Rich Hartung Quote
Tom Skinner Posted May 16, 2015 Report Posted May 16, 2015 (edited) It looks like an under the dash (brake Light) Left side, or Map Light (right side). It pops straight down and out with the coaxing of a screw driver (Flat) and a little cussing. The bulb will change (slight twist - counterclockwise out) much like a directional bulb or Brake Light Bulb. Sometimes you can just reach up under the dash and pop the socket straight up and out and change the bulb. Also sometimes the unit is screwed in from the top. Changing just the bulb doesn't require removing the housing. Tom Edited May 16, 2015 by Tom Skinner Quote

Those lights are what I am working on, I can access them easly from under the dash and tried turing the socket but it would not budge. I did not know the poped straight down. Quote
DonaldSmith Posted May 16, 2015 Report Posted May 16, 2015 Poped? I think he meant "popped". Deja vu all over again: Mayor Shinn: "... and not a poop out of you!" His wife, Eulalie McKechney Shinn, "I think he means Peep.", Quote
Tom Skinner Posted May 17, 2015 Report Posted May 17, 2015 popped, not pooped, or peeped L.O.L. Quote
