Geekay Posted May 11, 2015 Report Posted May 11, 2015 Recently removed all the oil lines and oil filters to clean them up. After replacing them I have a leak in the brass connection on the braided line. The oil is being pumped out between the brass and the braid. It seems I must have damaged it when I removed the lines. The brass fitting seems to have been pressed on to the braided line. Are these repairable by re crimping or replacing the brass fitting? Perhaps need to take to a hydraulic repair shop? In the photo below the leaking joint can be seen above the oild filter. Quote
Jerry Roberts Posted May 11, 2015 Report Posted May 11, 2015 If you have a hydraulic line shop nearby , they might be able to make a new line . They do come up for sale on ebay . Usually that line will continue up to your oil gauge . Quote
plymouthcranbrook Posted May 11, 2015 Report Posted May 11, 2015 I would think that the cost of repairing such a short line would be much more that a replacement. Have you checked into a new line? Quote

soth122003 Posted May 12, 2015 Report Posted May 12, 2015 Looks like the same line I replaced on my P-15. Mine was located down and back from the oil filter. I got mine from Andy B's for about $30.00. It is posted under engine parts. Joe Quote

Darbone85737 Posted May 12, 2015 Report Posted May 12, 2015 Amazing timing. I just had mine start leaking. I was shocked at the amount of oil that could leak from the hose. I just ordered a new one yesterday from Andy Bernbaum. Their new web site now allows you to set up an account and order online. Quote
