Tire costs are rising in 2015

I just priced a pair of tires for my truck and was informed to buy before the first of the year because China tire prices are going up 8% in January and all the major brands will follow suit very shortly thereafter.

I just put new tires on my truck. Twice.

 

Dealer put the wrong ones on the first time.  

 

I hope they're getting the right oil filter on it!

 

This is the first vehicle I've owned in my life that was serviced at the dealer since new. I've never really worked on it at all.

 

But now that it's 7 years old, it might be in line for some personal attention.

I intend to wear my tires out before worrying about buying new ones. Not much goes down in price anymore so increased prices should not be too much of a shock. Ask your tire dealer if he's going to stock up his inventory this time of year or wait until spring. Some businesses sell down their inventory at year's end for tax reasons.
