Roadkingcoupe Posted October 24, 2014 Report Posted October 24, 2014 Did all P7/P8 Plymouths have two speed wipers? 1939 Plymouth P7 "Roadking" models actually were equipped with a single wiper motor on the drivers side only The passenger side wiper was a factory option! You might notice that the speed of the wiper relates directly to the engine rpm (and the corresponding vacuum produced). Quote
Andydodge Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 Those vacuum wiper switches above the sun visors require a pic at least.......very unusual.....andyd Quote
TodFitch Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 Those vacuum wiper switches above the sun visors require a pic at least.......very unusual.....andyd Not sure when they stopped, but having a push-pull knob on the windshield header was very common in the 1930s. And after inside sun visors came out, the knob would be around the sun visor. Quote
DonaldSmith Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 Wild guess: The windshield wiper switch moved to the dashboard when the wiper motors moved from above the windshield to under the dash. 1 Quote
deathbound Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 I think the convertible brothers of cars with above the windshield wipers had them below because lack of room above for the motors. Not sure where the switches were though......probably just inside of each motor on the dash. Quote
