soth122003 Posted August 23, 2014 Report Posted August 23, 2014 I'm not sure about a 49 but here is a pic for the 48. It might give you some idea of where to look. Joe Quote
ptwothree Posted August 23, 2014 Report Posted August 23, 2014 If your car is like my '52, then look around just in front of the left rear wheel. Quote

srgentpepr Posted August 23, 2014 Author Report Posted August 23, 2014 It was where it showed it in your picture. Put the new one in, back in business. Thanks for your help! Todd Quote
55 Fargo Posted August 24, 2014 Report Posted August 24, 2014 Decided to get rid of the hydraulic brake light switch, and go with an old style GM lever mechanical switch. The latter are more positive, and turn on the brake light circuit with a slight touch of the brake pedal. The hydraulic switches, you often have to push the brake pedal in a lot before the circuit opens. This is such a simple easy retrofit, and works great. Quote
