Darlene and I spent Wednesday and Thursday at Yosemite. I had never stayed night there and that was an experience I will repeat. Other places are beautiful as well but this canyon is special. Just a couple of pictures.

This is El Capitan one of the first views as you enter the part,

Half dome mid afternoon. Half Dome was just above our campsite, it's just amazing how the same view changes as the day wanes.

Half Dome as the sun is setting.

Finally a very, very nice VW "The Thing".

This is Yosemite Falls. We could see both the falls and half dome from our campsite. The ranger said the snow in the mountains will be GONE in three weeks and of course the falls then will be dry.  California has not had much rain/snow for the last four years.

I took 135 pictures, just wanted to show a couple, now I have some editing to do.

Great pictures Paul (and Tod). Looks like the snow on the peaks has gone from when I was there with Hank and Blanca about 6 weeks before you.
