wiper pivots spline cap?

One of my wiper pivots is missing the spline cap that the wiper arm attaches to. can this be repaired? is it pressed on? where would I find one to try?

vacuum or electric?

1948 vacuum

 going to try to switch to electric newport engineering motor, but  (have abnormal space issue and will have change their pre- designed system by rotating the motor 180 degrees  to clear under dash shifter. plan to try using these type transmission  because the are equal length and and that should mean that the park position on the motor will be the same. I hope

Keven sent message    thanks hope they turn up.  Your the Best.   Dropped the engine in frame today so I can Mock up a bunch more stuff.  Stepped on new air cleaner to carb adapter  (cracK) what a clutzzzzz  thank God it was cheap.  Will try to post a few pics tonight after car club meeting

Not to hijack, but is there a good electric option for the trucks? I just pulled mine all art again and one of the things I definitely want to fix is the wipers

The newport engineering wiper mentioned before can be looked at at:

Appear to cost $210 but use existing towers and linkages. I have one of the set ups in my 50 PLy. suburban.

Saw a pair of these on ebay last weekend.
