busycoupe
My wife and I just had the pleasure of entertaining Mark Duggan and his wife Tracey. Mark and Tracey happened to be passing through my neck of the woods (not easy to do) and they stopped for lunch and to inspect my Dodge. It is great to put a face to a name on the forum. Mark told me that he has dropped in on several forum members, but he was the first that I have met in person. I told him that I would look him up when I visit my kids in Massachusetts. In the picture, I am on the left, Mark on the right. Dave Boston
Mark D
We were treated like royalty! We enjoyed a sumptuous lunch, a fantastic cup of coffee, and a wonderful tour of the house and neighborhood. It was great to see David's car up close. It's a good thing the keys weren't in it, I might have left Tracey and taken off in the car...! Our hosts couldn't have offered us a better respite from the mornings travels and travails. But onward we go, touring in inner banks of NC tomorrow and then onward to Lillington, Charlotte and Hillsborough to visit family and friends. Thanks again for giving us a fine diversion! For those of you that travel, I highly recommend looking up the members in your destination area and taking a few moments out of your day to put faces to the names.
40plyrod
That's a darn nice car is that a factory color?
busycoupe
That's a darn nice car is that a factory color? No, the original color of the car was Military Maroon, a much darker reddish color. When I bought the car in 2007 it was painted similar to the color it now has. The old red paint was in poor shape, but the older paint job had painted the door frames, inside of the trunk, etc. When I had it repainted in 2008 I matched the color as best I could so that the entire car would not have to be disassembled to do all of the interior parts. The current color is a 1980's GM truck color. It is not original, but I like it.

40plyrod
I like it too. I'm looking for a color for my 40 sedan and have been looking at dark reds and dark blues. Thanks for the info.
BobT-47P15
Yes - it is fun to meet forum members. I've had the pleasure of meeting a few at various places......all have been nice guys. Met Mr. Coatney for lunch in his hometown (at that time) of Murfreesbobo, Tenn several years ago.....along with the late Norm's Coupe who was on a vacation trip and passing thru......... After lunch, Don took us for a ride in his "hot rod" P15 with the DeSoto six. Definitely a recommended thing to do.
