doctor dirt Posted February 15, 2014 Author Report Posted February 15, 2014 Got side tracked again by a Dodge Demon on the lift and it needs to be there till Monday night! (front end apart) So hopefully the "real" Dodge goes in the air on Monday to get greased up again and check out the king pins that were added a few months back. Theres a part time sqeak from the drivers side upper ball joint just behind the tire! The manual doesn't refer to it as an upper ball joint or anything else! When replacing this ..........thing what do I refer to it as........ Doc. Quote

greg g Posted February 18, 2014 Report Posted February 18, 2014 rumor has it that horse urine was somehow figured into the development of the WD 40 formula................. Quote
Niel Hoback Posted February 18, 2014 Report Posted February 18, 2014 Wow, do I really want to know that??????????? I'll be very careful using it ! Hahahahaha Quote
doctor dirt Posted February 20, 2014 Author Report Posted February 20, 2014 The distributor plate was missing on the housing and the break was smaller than it was described to me. I fashioned an epoxy fix and it will be fine for now. If anyone happens to come across a IGS-4207B-1 (stock numbers from the manual) give me a shout. I don't like to quick fix on this car but theres other things that need to get done and now I can leave it out in the rain for days knowing it will start. Or under water if I want to! WD 40 secret ingrediant is Brahma Bull Urine, horse has the wrong ph content. Thought everyone knew that....................on to the damn clutch adjustment....... Quote
DonaldSmith Posted February 21, 2014 Report Posted February 21, 2014 It must take a lot of bull. Quote

First question that I would have here before buying a unit for the housing would be: What distributor do i actually have? It could be assumed that it is an IGS-4207B-1, but with the distributor plate missing that needs to be determined before obtaining a core for parts. Many distributors will fit and work without performance problems. It could have been swapped out somewhere along the way.. Next, there is some disparity between the "autolite book", and the MoPar shop manual with respect as to which distributor was in the D29, but those bases may be the same. Quote
fstfish66 Posted February 23, 2014 Report Posted February 23, 2014 ok now we got that out of the way,, lol,,,,any one invent snow go away 1st try?? Quote
FESTER60 Posted February 23, 2014 Report Posted February 23, 2014 I think I may have a distributor. When I pulled my flatty I saved a bunch of parts and I think I saved the distributor. If you are interested just send me a message. I think it's in my storage unit so I can look for it if you think you want it. Quote
