I cant think of any around here, and im hanging on to mine! I would personally recommend an aluminum universal radiator from champion, thats what I installed. Its not a perfect swap and you need some aluminum welding to add brackets, but the end is never needing to worry about heat again! I can tell you about my adapting process if you're interested, just ask!

If you don't need 100% original you should be able to have a core put in yours. Otherwise get one from champion but compare measurements from their early 50s plymouth and dodge car radiators. They should be quite close and not require much work to get installed.

I had mine re-cored. It wasn't cheap either $325 if I recall. It was not totally the fault or the re-builder.  I don't think he had the skill set to deal with my radiator as presented to him:

The tank was badly swolen from a previous overheating incident or from use of a pressure cap. (it sill seeps and before I even think about driving it to the BBQ it needs to be fixed.  The other thing wrong with my radiator is the cast iron hose connection at the very bottom it rotten but hanging in there. Thhe rebuilder told me the cast iron part is not available and I took him at his word.  I may pay a visit to another radiator shop in the next few days as I think my truck will be running today (fingers crossed)

Although I love Honeycomb and it hurt to have to sacrifice it in the name of modernism, the radiator is the one thing I could care less if it's stock. I want something that a dragster would use. If I designed it, the radiator core and aluminum frame would definately be sized to fit within the confines of the radiator bracket, painted black 5 core or whatever the best there is and I would want the tank to still function as a reserve but not be subject to pressurization.

When it comes to installing a radiator in your 47, I'd give it a lot of thought.

I am in the market for a radiator in great shape that someone doesn't need for some reason.

So Thanks in advance,

Hank  :)

Would you mind giving some more details/ pictures on that? I'd be really interested. I plan to use the stock radiator in my 52 with a different motor. But I wouldn't mind knowing of a way out if that one fails. Thanks in advance.
