  1. I have the manual 3 spd in my 47 truck have the stuff for the t5 swap but a poweflite has been stuck in my head, would a poweflite out of a car be bolt up as long as i had the bellhousing and converter?

  3. Ok so I have a couple part numbers not sure what one is right for my 47 truck first I found the 256ls under the auto section of the catalog then I found the 1361a under the indrustrual section anyone know what one is corect?
  4. Ok got to the bottom of everything I think, didn't recive all the bushings and that was throwing me off think I'm all good now
  5. I got the adapter kit from Langdon was ordering a clutch disk when I relised I may have a issue
  6. Or I may be totally misunderstanding how this kit goes together, I've read the instructions got the bushing that didn't come with the kit, I'm getting a bit flustered I'm a machanic/welder by trade and I can't figure how this goes together
  7. The physical size of the shaft is different correct? The 14 spline is 1" and the 10 spline is 1 1/8 I thought
  8. Ok think I may have snatched up the wrong t5 for my kit from tom Langdon, it's a 14 spline trans I need the 10 spline don't I tag number is 1352-193
  9. Ahh thanks I was wondering about the skirt length, I may be missing something but a lighter piston would cut down on rotating mass, or do these engines need the long skirt. Not that I need a rebuild just wondering out loud because my shop has the ability to make rods etc

    It's for sure a 12v battery I'll have to get a part number off the alt to know for sure
  13. Ok I just went out to look at my truck first time in a while life got in the way but I was getting a part for the the battery and it looked like it was pos ground but it has been converted to a 12v battery and alt so I guess it it possible to run a alt with pos ground
