Can someone give me a picture of a 1950 Suburban upper liftgate hinge?

The previous owner said it was in the car and I can't find it. A picture would help me look for it. I would imagine they are hard to find if it is missing.

Thanks,

The hinge is probably the same as used on a 52 Suburban. The 52 uses a long piano type hinge that is about 3 feet long and aroud 2 inches wide. If you want a photo of one installed, email me.

Ok..found it...was in my "to be painted box" of small parts.....the studs I mentioned are actually nothing but 1/4-20 carriage bolts instead...

Great pictures especially the end shot. Sunntennis sent me pictures and a sketch but I was having a hard time seeing it. Could you possibly give me the dimensions of the hinge so i can try to reproduce it?

Thanks,

Don

The 54 suburban upper gate is differs from the earlier models. I need to correct the title of my suburban thread. My car is a '54, which I did not know when I started the thread. I trust these pictures will contribute to the knowledge factor of this forum.

To repair this gate would take a lot of work so I'm searching for a replacement. If need be I will.
