AJ Johnson Posted May 27, 2007 Report Posted May 27, 2007 Looking at pictures from a junkyard is a love / hate thing for me. I enjoyed the pictures and had a thousand ideas of what could be with the old Studebakers, Dodges, Plymouths, even a few Chevy's. But then I just get angry at the fact that these cars are being allowed to rot away among the pines. (Didn't feel too bad for the Gremlin though). Thanks for the pictures. I feel like I just watched a car wreck happen. Really cool, but sad. AJ Quote
Olddaddy Posted May 27, 2007 Report Posted May 27, 2007 Thank you, that was a real treat. I had forgotten just how beautiful your part of the country is. I noticed an A100 in the mix, if you go back and it's an automatic, see what it would take to get the shifter, complete with cable. No worries if not, but it's one thing on my list to have on the shelf. And thanks for calling this afternoon, enjoyed talking with you. Quote

Normspeed Posted May 27, 2007 Report Posted May 27, 2007 Still some usable stuff out there. Neat pics Tim. Quote
Johnny S Posted May 27, 2007 Report Posted May 27, 2007 Thanks Tim....I miss being able to wander through lots like that. Quote
RobertKB Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 Tim, very interesting. Not many restorable cars there but lots of good parts. I would guess resting in the woods like that is very hard on old cars as when it rains things get wet and stay wet quite a while with all the old vegetation sitting on the cars. Thanks for posting. BobT-47P15 Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 Thanks for the pics, Tim. It's amazing how bad condition some of the old cars get into after years of abuse and weather. But some usable parts there I would think. Have you noticed the lovely animated ads now on PhotoBucket since they were bought by whomever it was??? Makes me consider taking my business elsewhere, but I'm not sure where that would be. Quote
Uncle-Pekka Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 Thanks for a great tour around the place! It is kind of impressive how the nature takes back the machinery... Was the late 30's club coupe (pic. #43?) a Hudson? Quote
