littlemo Posted March 23, 2013 Report Posted March 23, 2013 (edited) When trying to open attached photos by left clicking on the pic, I get a pop-up saying "error on page". If i right click and then click on "open Link", the pic comes up just fine. Is this a problem with the new web site or my computer??? Is anyone else experiencing this problem ??? It's driving me bananas !!! Cass, alias littlemo.... Edited March 23, 2013 by littlemo Quote
randroid Posted March 23, 2013 Report Posted March 23, 2013 (edited) Cass, I don't know the answer but I think it's safe to assume that the format of the attachment might play a role. It isn't uncommon for me to need to right-click an attachment to open it, and that's been true in both Widdows and Ubuntu, so I don't give it a second thought. -Randy Edited March 23, 2013 by randroid Quote
littlemo Posted March 23, 2013 Author Report Posted March 23, 2013 The reason I asked if other forum members have experienced difficulty pulling up attachments is because I didn't have this problem on the older forum. It wasn't until the change to this new forum format that I've encountered the problem. thanks, Cass, alias littlemo.. Quote
P15-D24 Posted March 23, 2013 Report Posted March 23, 2013 For attachments just click on the image. That will open the lightbox that displays the picture. You don't need to left click on the image. Quote
littlemo Posted March 23, 2013 Author Report Posted March 23, 2013 Thanks "Mr. Webmaster", I clicked on the attachment using the "roller" on my mouse: it worked !!! Since I had always used the Left side of my mouse to "click-on" attachments in the past, I was really confused; but then I'm easily confused !!! lol, Cass, alias littlemo... Quote
Don Coatney Posted March 23, 2013 Report Posted March 23, 2013 For attachments just click on the image. That will open the lightbox that displays the picture. You don't need to left click on the image. To me a left click is normal to open an image. A right click prompts to open the image in a new window. Quote
TodFitch Posted March 23, 2013 Report Posted March 23, 2013 Depends on the operating system and web browser being used and how they deal with various file types. It can also be affected by how the web server sets up the "headers" that tell your browser what type of file it is. The server side has new software which might be using different headers, but the biggest factor is what the OS and browser are which haven't been stated. Quote
